First you need a ringtone mp3 file. It should be less than 300 Kb and less than 30 seconds long. You can convert your own mp3 files at http://makeownringtone.com

Here are two ways to get the ringtone on the phone

Method 1

  1. Email the mp3 to your phone
  2. Open the text message when you receive it
  3. Go to “Options”, then “View Attachment”
  4. Select the sound file, then “Save”
  5. Then set it as a ringtone

Method 2 - requires a microSD card

  1. Connect the microSD card to your computer
  2. Make a new folder on the microSD card - Call it “Other”, for example
  3. Copy the ringotne mp3 file to the microSD card, in the new folder you just made
  4. Disconnect the microSD card from your computer and insert it into the Shine
  5. Go to the main menu, select “My Stuff”, then “Memory Card”, then “Folder Name” (your folder)
  6. Locate the ringotne mp3 file
  7. Select “Options,”, then “Copy”, then “Handset Memory”, then “Audio & Ringtones Folder”
  8. Select “Paste”, then set the file as a ringtone
