This tutorial was written for the K750, but these methods work with related models, such as k700, w800, etc.

  1. The easiest and fastest way to do this is through the USB data cable. If you don’t have one, here’s what you’re looking for.
  2. Once you have the USB cable at hand, you can either go to sony ericsson’s official website and download the pc suite software, or download only the usb driver from here.
  3. Once you have the usb driver installed, connect your phone to the computer using the data cable. The phone is identified as an external storage device, and can now be accessed from My Computer. You can now proceed to copy your ringtones.
  4. If you have a memory card (Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo) and a card reader you can use a card reader to copy the ringtones. There’s no need for special software, just plug the card reader in any usb port, insert the memory card, copy over your ringtones, and put the card back into the phone.
  5. If you have a bluetooth dongle or a bluetooth enabled laptop/pc you can use this as a method to copy over ringtones. Make sure you have your bluetooth software installed (for example Bluesoleil), and your bluetooth dongle plugged into any usb port. Follow your software’s instructions to pair your phone to the pc and copy over the ringtones.
  6. K750 also supports IrDA for file transfer. This implies you’r pc has an IrDA port. This method is very slow and uncommon, better stick to the other ones.
  7. Lastly, if your carrier has a data service available, you can download ringtones directly using gprs. This implies additional data transfer costs, depending on your carrier.
