How to Transfer Ringtones to a Samsung A707 & A737

Samsung A707 & A737 (both the same method)

I use bluetooth to transfer the mp3s from my computer to the phone.  Both of these phones do have a microSD slot though that would make it even easier.  For bluetooth, your computer will need to either have bluetooth built in or you can hook up a bluetooth dongle via USB.  The instructions are generalized since I not in front of the correct computer to run through it.

Transferring with Bluetooth:
Make sure the phone and the pc are successfully paired with the bluetooth.  In my case, I simply right clicked on the blue bluetooth icon in the system tray and selected “send file”.  I selected the mp3 file and it then asked me which device to send it to.  I selected the correct phone.  After clicking through the wizard, the phone will ask you if it is ok to accept the file.  Click yes to accept and it will send the file to the phone.

Transferring with MicroSD Card:
Insert your MicroSD card into the SD card adapter and plug it into your computer’s card reader port.  Copy the mp3 files to the card.  Remove the SD card from the computer and remove the MicroSD card from the SD card adapter.  Insert the MicroSD card into the phone and then use the file browser to copy the files over to the phone memory.
